Group 484 as part of the project PROACTION – Protection against discrimination of asylum seekers and unaccompanied child migrants, in cooperation with “Praxis”, funded by the European Union, in March and April 2016 held four round tables on “Experiences in receiving migrants and refugees, cooperation between the institutions and protection from discrimination.”
Besides Belgrade, round tables were held in Nis, Pirot and Vranje, gathered representatives of the misdemeanor’ courts, the MoI of Republic of Serbia, municipality social welfare centers, and representatives of state institutions and civil society organizations who are engaged in work with refugee and migrants. Roundtables were held in order to exchange experiences and highlight problems encountered in the increased influx of migrants and refugees, and special attention was given to the protection of refugee children and migrants.
At the round table held in Belgrade, Group 484 presented the the revised edition of a handbook, Acceptance in terms of mixed migration flows. As in the meantime, the circumstances that migrant course gave some other characteristics, the addition of the handbook is focused exclusively on the phenomenon of increased inflows, as well as to the needs of migrants and refugees in such a course to provide the most appropriate protection to people in
