Solidarity Network: Building the Common Efforts for Refugees and Migrants Protection

This project contributes to building a coordinated and effective response to essential protection needs of refugees and migrants in Serbia and Macedonia.

Project Goal:

The overarching objective of the project is to develop support and protection services targeting the most vulnerable among refugees and migrants on the Western Balkans route, but also to enhance coordination and networking among agencies and organizations providing assistance and facilitating inclusion of CSOs, as well as strengthening local resources.

Activities:

Through a sub-granting scheme managed by Group 484, the network of projects for providing various services will be developed: psychosocial and intercultural support particularly targeting children and women; activities promoting positive attitudes towards integration of refugees and migrants in local communities; provision of educational services to children in asylum and reception centers in Serbia and Macedonia; distribution of food and non-food items; small-scale infrastructure works in asylum and reception centers, as well as in municipalities with a large number of migrants and refugees in Serbia and Macedonia.

Target groups:

Serbian and Macedonian civil society organizations and institutions in the public/government sector are the key target group of this project, i.e. those capable for providing relevant and high-quality protection services to refugees and migrants in these two countries.

Children and adolescents, particularly unaccompanied and separated minors, women and girls, single parents, persons with disabilities and/or health issues, as well as other vulnerable groups and individuals will be particularly targeted.
