Towards the real protection for unaccompanied and separated child migrants (PROCHILD)

The project deals with strengthening the protection of unaccompanied and separated child migrants in Serbia and Macedonia.

Project Goal:

The main goals of the project are to provide piloting of accessible and effective protection of the unaccompanied and separated child migrants, improve awareness about scope and complexity of the issue, enhance capacities of civil society organizations and local institutions and produce positive changes in relevant legislation and policies.

Activities:

1.Direct assistance to unaccompanied and separated child migrants (psychosocial support)

2.Needs assessment on protection mechanism of unaccompanied and separated child migrants

3.Capacity-building of the CSOs and local institutions involved in the protection of separated and unaccompanied child migrants

4.Policy paper on protection of unaccompanied and separated child migrants and related advocacy activities

 

Target groups:

  • Unaccompanied and separated child migrants in Macedonia and Serbia
  • CSOs and local institutions involved in the protection of separated and unaccompanied child migrants
  • Decision makers responsible for the protection of unaccompanied and separated child migrants

 

Implementation period:

1 December 2015 – 30 November 2016

Geographical area:

Serbia and Macedonia (capitals and local communities within the migration route, i.e. entry, transit, reception or exit sites)
