Critical Glossary of Civil Society

This collection (327 pages) was created with the aim to contribute to clearing a discursive mess which dominates in `transition vocabulary`, by means of a classic, but not completely conventional theoretical operations – problematizing and clarification, differentiating and shading the meaning of terms. We focused on questioning, it seemed, as widespread as unquestioned, and uncritically accepted terms from the complex of `civil society`.

The following terms have been analyzed: civil society (Aleksandar Molnar), democracy (Djordje Vukadinovic), human rights (Dusan Pavlovic), public (Djordje Pavicevic), culture (Predrag Krstic), modernization (Slobodan Antonic) and social movements (Ivana Spasic).
